When I say fashion is getting more inclusive could be that I am being optimistic, and I am, but a few years ago we would imagine brands to be contacting our working with disabled models. Its where I came to give them a voice and help them to make sure there are making the right thing making clothes for everyone.
I had a photo shoot with the wonderful Radha. She is knowing the designer and has been to Paris and Fashions Finest, London Fashion Week and much more with her collection. Her inspiration come through the music, and I am so happy we are working together to empower women.
Here is little about her story you would like to know.
Has a very prestigious history, while the label is still young the designer showcased her first Couture collection in London Fashion Week 2017 and was nominated for Britain’s Top Designer award in Fashion’s Finest. The Label showcased Alongside Cristiano Ronaldo’s CR7 Collection in MadieraFashionWeekend, Portugal in Spring. The Designer then went to the debut.
Her second couture collection in Paris Fashion Week, as part of OxfordFashionStudio where her collection “Light Through the Darkness” was received to great acclaim by the international press and Fashion Industry.
The garment should do more than clothe a body, it must become an experience for the wearer. Fashion is an art, a platform to express feelings of emotion, joy, and sensuality.
The personal narrative of each piece is a combination of strength, empowerment, and love. These elements are achieved and captured in the bespoke and unique surface prints.
Customers are made to feel strong, empowered and part of a magical experience that only when you wear one of the handcrafted garments do you appreciate all the love that has gone into each piece. Her collections withhold meaning beyond the fabric, she incorporates aspects such as nature, architecture, cultures, music, and traditions.
The Fashion events even embody the essence of the Label by featuring Catwalk models from diverse backgrounds and cultures to make it a universal show and everyone being equal on the fashion runway. Music has been and still is a strong influence on the designer’s work and life. Radha spent time in the beautiful island of Ibiza where she was inspired by the music and culture.
Music and dance are celebrated by each individual and this then takes one to a place of euphoria and to feel the positive energy and vibes. This is why she developed the Label to celebrate both the House Music and Fashion that brings a connection through each and every one of us.
The House of Radha came to revolutionary the Fashion with it’s modern and audacious brand. Check her out: https://www.thehouseofradha.co.uk
WheelAIR just launched today its new campaign. We took these pictures last week in Notting Hill. It was great fun. The area is so beautiful and very Instagrammy. I will post a few screenshots here but you should go to the WheelAIR website to check it out.
And in case you don’t know what WheelAIR is I will leave the link below for my review of their product that is a cooling backrest for wheelchair users.
They always have new articles and very interesting blogs on their website.
I am in love with the results of the photo shoot. I hope you like it too.
As an influencer, I get invited to a lot of events, and I go to a few of them, but nothing could make me happier than to accept an invitation to go to an inclusive fashion show. Yes, you are right, it’s coming. Fashion is officially becoming more diverse.
The is a collection that Rebecca put together. I am so pleased to write about it. It is all starting to make sense. Her collection is full of colours and different patterns, something pleasing for the eyes to to look at. So I went to her fashion show with friends and I was amazed by the variety of shapes, sizes and the glamour of the models on the runway.
I was happy to put a video together from the footage I had from my stories on Instagram. I will leave the link below so you guys can have a sample of what is coming. Also I am attaching the press release of the brand for you to understand a little more. All comments are very welcome. Lets play our part and share ideas to make a better and fairer world.
Much love Sam
The launch of ‘Rebecca Violette’ is the culmination of over a decade of works re- garding anatomy, skin, and visual ‘differences’. Rebecca Violette is a qualified med- ical doctor & NHS England Clinical Entrepreneur who, alongside her studies in medical school, embarked on a creative venture challenging society’s perception of perceived ‘visual difference’ through a collection of designs, fabric prints and gar- ments. The launch event showcases her latest active-wear & couture fashion line in ‘wearable art’, designed by Rebecca using prints inspired by the stories of those liv- ing with visual difference. There will be an opportunity to donate to charities with whom Rebecca has worked in collaboration and will showcase a photography exhi- bition of the individuals who inspired Rebecca’s collection.
We look forward to welcoming you to support this unique new brand. ‘Rebecca Vio- lette’ active-wear garments will be available for pre-order on the evening with a small selection of sample accessories for sale. We hope you join us in our vision to change the way in which society views visual ‘difference’ and help in celebrating and embracing individuality amidst our society.
I was so excited to receive my Samsonite cabin luggage and laptop bag back. The cabin suitcase is personalized and came with my initials “SB” on it. It combines strength with lightness and is perfect for me when travelling only with cabin baggage. In airports and shopping centres I can easily attach the case handle over my backrest and pull it along. The quality is high with a number of great features including a retractable identification label. It has lockable zips and soft touch handles.
The laptop backpack is just what I have been looking for. I wanted a stylish bag that allows me to safely carry my computer. It is made to the very highest standards and has it’s of pockets for all the items that I carry with me on a daily basis. I chose black to match the backrest
of my wheelchair and to provide versatility in matching the clothes I wear.
The “#”s they use in their socials are #generationgo #womensquad #mysamsonite all that I 100% support, please join the conversation.
I made a review on my youtube channel. I will attach the link below. The pictures in this blog are taken by Roy Ikoroha and this lovely red dress is by Vinnette Grant.
