Meet Peter Twiss

We are very happy to announce the upcoming collaboration between Peter Twiss and Samanta Bullock. Their collaboration started back in 2018 with a fashion show at Fashions Finest. A great admirer of Peter Twiss’ work, Samanta is thrilled to announce that she is creating an inclusive clothing line with the designer.

Peter Twiss and I

Peter Twiss is a London based women’s wear designer who started his brand back in 2009. A Central Saint Martins and Surrey Institute of Art and Design alumni, Peter gained work experience with Betty Jackson and Sarah Arnett. He also worked as a freelance designer for various London Boutiques before launching his own label.

Twiss designs contemporary and sophisticated clothing for elegant women made of luxury silk. The designer is mainly known for his unique bombers and jackets adapted to modern urban life.

Having spent most of his childhood in Assam, North East India, he was inspired by Indian tailors to pursue a fashion pathway. Consequently, his signature style is deeply linked to his childhood roots with an important focus on luxury silks.

Sustainability lays at the heart of the company with a careful development process around the salvaging of luxurious silk fabrics. The brand experiments with various techniques established over time, which led to the invention of many unique textures and several bespoke fabrics including his very own silk fur and silk boucle. It also promotes slow fashion and encourages its customers to invest in quality pieces.

Finally, the designer has helped raise funds to improve education and medical facilities along with bringing water and electricity supplied to a small rural village in Akuman, Nagaland. Twice a year, he returns to Nagaland where he has a studio and manufacturing base.

Right now, you’re probably aware that the UK fashion industry is flourishing, simply because so many wonderful brands are establishing themselves every year. One of the brands that really caught my eye and captured my heart was Staar Boutique. I came across them at the London Organic Boutique and had the pleasure of seeing their work in all its glory.

Staar Boutique- Amazing Jewellery.

Plus, I had the chance to listen to their vision, explore their range and truly understand what makes them different. You see, they pride themselves on selling gorgeous jewellery that is one-hundred-percent organic and fair trade. They refrain from utilizing materials that go against their core values and principles, which I really admire them for.

It allows them to tie nicely into the London ethnic fashion culture. Other than being completely pure, their items look amazing and complement any type of outfit. I personally love wearing their rings, earrings, and bracelets, and even wore them to the Adriana Chiari magazine launch which I recently attended.

In addition, you’ll find that the vast majority of their products are very affordable, but they never, ever compromise on quality and appearance. The evidence of that is in the high-standard that the jewellery possesses. Now, the style that they go for is modern, but plenty of their pieces are perfect for sentimental, cute gifts for friends and loved ones. Believe me, there’s a strong chance that you’ll find a piece that you fall in love with instantly.

All in all, I’d definitely recommend checking out Staar Boutique. They’re on the rise and will only continue to grow as more people are exposed to their brand, share their vision and enjoy wearing their products. Even if you don’t purchase anything, I feel it’s fantastic to support another London fashion outlet opting to go down the organic and fair trade route.

Fashions Finest / Peter Twiss – Hair Time

After my appearance Fashions Finest modelling for Peter Twiss at I really enjoyed the opportunity to attend an event also organised by Fashions Finest.  The contest was very nice and I enjoyed the evening accompanied by designer Peter Twiss. It was a great opportunity to see some wonderful designs judged by celebrity and fashion photographer and judge on Britain’s Next Top Model Nicky Johnstone, Bernard Connelly, Nicky Hamilton-Jones and Lola Royale and also to listen to Sam Lavery singing to close the event.
